Statue of Liberty

We have a tradition every year of having a family day on Good Friday and visiting a unique destination. One year we went to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. It was a cloudy foggy day, but it provided beautiful contrast for my photos. The New York City skyline, the ferry ride, the immigrant history, and of course the lady herself, a shining beacon of hope for all who see her flame. It was very special to experience all of this with my family, knowing our European ancestors walked on the very spots we stood that day. View Full Size
